MUSLIM MAN
HIS OWN SELF

TEGUH: Islam wants the Muslims to stand out among the people, so that he will be a good example and worthy of the great message that he brings.

AKHTAR: Muslim is one who strikes a balance between the needs of his body, mind and soul. He gives each the attention it deserves (not necessary equal), and does not exaggerate in one aspect to the detriment of the others.

MULIA: The outward appearance of a man cannot be separated from his inner nature. Allah does not love ugliness. No matter how busy he is, make sure he is dressed well. He has high standards of personal hygiene, bathing frequently (at least twice a day).

FAEZ: Muslim is moderate in his intake of food and drink. He allows one third for food, one third for drink, and one third for air. The healthy eating habits are supplemented by an organised exercise program, appropriate to his physical condition, age and social status.

TEGUH: He avoids drugs, and does not take medicine except for illness. He sleeps early (maybe 10 pm) and wakes early (4 am or so). This gives strength, energy and vitality to his body, and provides immunity to illness.

AKHTAR: Muslim takes care of his mouth, clean his teeth every day at least twice a day. Minor teeth cleaning should be done before each prayer.

MULIA: Seeking knowledge is a duty on every Muslim. As long as you seek knowledge you are knowledgeable. Learning means that one continues to read and study, increasing one’s learning day by day.

FAEZ: A smart Muslim does not restrict himself to his own field only. He gains a little knowledge about many things, which enriches his mind and broadens his horizons. However he master in his field of specialization in depth for the benefit of the people.
