SHIRK

MULIA: Shirk is an impardonable sin i.e. the greatest sin which will not be forgiven by Allah.

AKHTAR: Shirk implies ascribing partners to Allah or ascribing others besides Allah and believing that the source of power, harm or blessing comes from another besides Allah.

FAEZ: There are 3 types of shirk, namely (1) major shirk, (2) minor shirk, and (3) inconspicuous shirk.

TEGUH: Examples of major shirk are such as invoke, supplicate or pray to other deities besides Allah. Also act like rendering obedience to any authority against the order of Allah.

MULIA: Minor shirk covers acts performed to show off. Any act of worship or religious deed done in order to gain praise, fame or for worldly purposes falls under this minor form.

AKHTAR: Inconspicuous shirk refer to those being inwardly dissatisfied with the inevitable condition that has been ordained (fate or kada dan kadar) for one by Allah. Example, conscientiously lamenting that had we done or not done such and such or had we approached such and such we would have had a better result!
