WHY ALLAH SENT PROPHETS

FAEZ: Ever since people worship other than Allah, the Lord had been sending Prophets (Nabi) and Apostles (Rasul) to invite them (people) to worship Allah alone. Bring them out of darkness of polytheism into the light of monotheism i.e. the belief in the Oneness of Allah.

MULIA: Every Prophet was sent unto his own tribe or race for the guidance. The gap period between the era of Jesus Christ and Nabi Muhammad (saw) was nearly 560 years. During this gapped period people in general worship various sorts like the sun, the moon, stars, trees, stones, idols, etc.

AKHTAR: The Jews claimed that Ezra was the son of Allah and in other part the Christians recognised that Messiah (Mary’s son) was the son of Allah.

TEGUH: Some people believe in Allah, but at the same time take others as partners of Allah. They believed in the power of saints or righteous men. They forgot, even the Prophets and Apostles had no direct power at all to cause us harm or benefiting anyone, for all that is in the Hands of Allah.

FAEZ: Then Nabi Muhammad (saw) was sent for all mankind and jinns. He carried on preaching for 23 years in Mecca (13 years) and Madinah (10 years), and it is incumbent upon us to worship Him (Allah) only and not to ascribe any partner to Him.

TEGUH: There are a few common phrases we often heard but not actually understood their meanings. The phrases such as:-

• “La hawla wala quwata illa billah”..There is neither might nor any power except with Allah.

• “Sami a-l-lahu liman hamidah”...........Allah heard those who sent praises to Him.

• ” Rabbana wa laka-l-hamd”........O our Lord! All the praises are for You.

• ” Al-hamdu lil-lahi Rabbil-alamin”......All praises are for Allah the Lord of the Worlds.

MULIA: Allah, the Blessed, the Supreme, is the True God to be worshipped, the only One, the Almighty, the Disposer, the Sole Creator of the Heavens and the Earth and whatever is in them. He is the Benefactor and Controller of rezeki, harm, life and death, to say the least.

AKHTAR: Those who call upon others besides Him do not own even an atom in anything. When we know all these, how can we ascribe partners to Him and worship others and invoke them for help?
