BLOW OF THE TRUMPET
FAEZ: The belief in the oneness of Allah is the foundation of Islam. Life on earth is only transitory period and not an end in itself. The world will cease to exist. Mankind and Jinn will thereafter be resurrected to account for their deeds in the world and will be rewarded or punished accordingly. Belief in the Day of Resurrection is one of the central tenets of Islamic faith.
TEGUH: The Quran and Sunnah present detailed information of what will come on the Day of Al-Qiyaamah. These are all matters of the unseen which are known only to Allah, matters of which we can have no knowledge except that which Allah, by His mercy, tells us in the Quran or through the Prophets.
MULIA: Al-Qiyaamah is the Day when no person shall have power to do anything; the Day when their excuses will be of no benefit to wrong-doers; the Day whereon neither wealth nor children will avail; the Day when not a single fact will be hidden from Allah.
AKHTAR: Allah tells us that the Trumpet will be blown twice. The one who will blow the Trumpet is angel Israafeel. The day will be on a Friday. When the Trumpet will be firstly blown, the earth and mountains will shake violently. The first one to hear it will be a man who will be fixing the trough to feed his camels. He will fall unconscious, and then all other people will fall unconscious too. But that will not be death in the true sense of the word, it will merely be loss of consciousness.
FAEZ: In between the two Trumpet-blasts there will be a period as long as Allah wills. The Prophet Muhammad said “What in between the two Trumpet-blasts is forty”. Forty days? Forty months? Forty years? No Companions knew the correct answer.
TEGUH: Then the second Trumpet-blast will be sounded. But immediately before that, Allah will send down water (certain scholars stated as dew i.e. condensed water vapour) from the sky. There is no part of man that does not disintegrate after he dies, except for one round bone at the base of the spine, which is the coccyx (tailbone). When the water reaches this bone, it will grow. From this he will be created anew, but different from the way they were in the life of this world. When the dead comes to life again after dying, the people will rise to meet the Lord of the Universe.
MULIA: Mankind will resurrected doing whatever they were doing when they died. The earth will spread out like a carpet; its hills, mountains, valleys and trees will disappear. We will have nothing except the place where our feet are standing. We will be gathered barefoot, naked and uncircumcised.
