THE DAY OF RESURRECTION
HORRORS ON THE LAST DAY
FAEZ: One of the greatest horrors on the Last Day will be the total destruction of this earth with its mountains, stars, sun and moon. The entire system of the universe will collapse.
AKHTAR: On the Day of Judgement, when the Trumpet is blown, this stable earth will be in violent shaken, Allah will move the mountains from their places by blowing them away. These mountains will become like wool (Quran 70:9) or heap of sand (Quran 73:14). They will become floating dust particles. Then Allah will flatten the earth. It will be flat, with no peaks or troughs.
MULIA: The seas which cover the greater part of our planet become as blazing fire or shall overflow. The molecules of water in these vast oceans explode, and flames reaching up the sky. Certain scholars translate the phrase “shall overflow” means that they will become filled, then they will overflow until becomes joined together, and they will be all one thing, fire all over.
AKHTAR: We will witness the shaking and splitting of the sky. Because of the heat of Hell, the sky will turn red, and it will split. The colour of the sky will also change. The clouds will no longer contain any water, so no rain will fall.
MULIA: Mountains will be destroyed and the sky will split etc, is due to the heat of Hell. Water of the earth formed a barrier between the heaven and the earth. When this barrier is removed, the resulting increase in the heat of Hell will have an effect on both the heaven and the earth.
TEGUH: The sun’s light will vanish. The moon will be eclipsed and its light will vanish too. The star will come to an end and they will fall and be scattered.
FAEZ: And the people will come forth from their graves, they will not care about other people and will not pay any attention to them. Imagine ourselves naked and humiliated, alone with our fear, grief and distress in the big crowd of human beings. We can hear nothing but the sound of our footsteps.

TEGUH: At the end of this Day, the people will be gathered either to Paradise or to Hell. These are the final places which people will reach. And Allah knows best.
