The ultimate goal of every believer is entrance into Paradise and avoidance of Hell.
Paradise and Hell have already been created. Allah created Paradise and Hell before the rest of creation.
Whoever He wishes will enter Paradise by His Grace and Mercy, and whoever He wishes will enter Hell as a result of His Justice.
Scholars differ as to where Paradise and Hell are located at present. They are wherever Allah wishes them to be, and we do not have the ability to comprehend all the universes created by Allah. Hell is huge and immensely deep.
A stone thrown from the top of Hell took seventy years to reach the bottom. In the Book of Torah, written that the distance from one side of Hell to the other is like forty years’ walking. Only Allah knows best what it really is.
Hell has seven levels with seven gates, one above the other. The lower the level in Hell, the greater the intensity of the heat.
Types of inhabitants in Hell are : (top level 1) the sinners among the monotheists, (2) the Jews, (3) Christians, (4) Sabians, (5) Magians (6) polytheist Arabs, and (7) hypocrites.
The Jews claim that they will be punished in the Fire for a limited time (forty days), then others will take their place. Allah declared that this claim of theirs was a lie as stated in the Quran 2:80-81.
Nabi Muhammad (saw) said: “When Ramadhan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened, and the gates of Hell are closed”, and “Fire as we know it is one-seventieth part of the Fire of Hell”.
Stones and the disbelievers are the fuel of Hell; (Quran 66:6). Nabi Muhammad (saw) also said: “I saw that most of its inhabitants are women”. Because they curse too much, and are ungrateful for good treatment.
A few of the evil deeds that lead one to Hellare as follows:
(1) associating partners in worship with Allah;
(2) disbelieving in His Messengers (yes..plural);
(3) hasad (malicious, envy);
(4) lying;
(5) treachery,
(6) oppression,
(7)promiscuity;
(8) withholding knowledge
(9) witchcraft;
(10)consuming the wealth of orphan,
(11) riba (usury),
(12) slandering the reputation of innocent believing women, etc.
However the Quran also mention specific people who will be in the Fire. Such as
(i)Pharaoh who ruled at the time of Moses (Quran11:98);
(ii)wives of Prophets Noh and Lut (Quran 66:10);
(iii) Abu Lahab and his wife (Quran 111:1-5).
The disbelievers among the jinn will enter Hell just like the disbelievers among mankind, for the jinn are held responsible for their actions just as human beings are (Quran 6:128; 7:38; 11:119, 26:94-95, 41:25, 51:56).
Many texts indicate that 999 out of every 1,000 persons will enter Hell, and only one (in a thousand) will entre Paradise. In other words only 0.1% of the cumulated world population will have a chance to enter Paradise.
When the people of Hell enter the Fire, they will be huge in size, that will increase his suffering and torment. Allah will replace the burnt skin with new one, to be burnt as new, and this will be repeated endlessly.
The people of Hell will always be hungry and, among others, their drink will be boiling, dark, murky and intensely cold fluid. Certain text refers it as the offensive discharge that flows from the private parts of adulterous women.
The punishment of the people of Hell will vary in degree. The person who will have the least punishment, among the people of Hell will be made to wear shoes of Fire, from whose heat his brains will boil.
We seek Almighty Allah to help us to be obedient to Him, and save us from Hellfire through His mercy and blessing. May He admit us to Paradise. Ameen!
