AIR WUDUK  


Dalam mazhab Syafie rukun wuduk ada 6 iaitu niat, membasuh muka, membasuh kedua tangan hingga ke siku, menyapu sebahagian kepala, membasuh kedua kaki hingga ke buku lali, dan tertib. 

Kalau di perhatikan bahawa anggota wuduk adalah anggota-anggota “hujung badan”, yang kerap di gunapakai dan terdedah kepada alam sekitar. Apa yang hendak kita sucikan ialah pada kulit anggota-anggota berkenaan. 

Our skin is the largest organ in the body. Jika kita tibarkan ianya lebih kurang 12 hingga 20 sq ft berasakan mengikut saiz badan. Beratnya lebihkurang 12% of our body weight. 

Kulit manusia ada 3 lapis iaitu epidermis, dermis dan hypodermis. Epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin which provides waterproofing and serves as a barrier to infection. Ada beberapa fungsi kulit seperti perlindungan daripada bacteria, mencegah dehidrasi, menyimpan lemak, dan sintesis vitamin D.
Kita kerap mengambil wuduk dengan meletakkan anggota di bawah paip dan membiarkan air mengalir membasahi anggota-anggota wuduk berkenaan. Ianya sah, no doubt about it. 

Kira-kira 5000 tahun yang lalu pengamal perubatan Cina telah memperkenalkan acupuncuture iaitu satu keadah rawatan menggunakan jarum halus dicucuk ke badan pesakit. Dengan izin Allah, berbagai penyakit kronik dapat disembuhkan dan popularitinya merebak hingga ke US dan Europe. 


Kaedah ini telah mengenalpasti 66 acupuncture points utama di badan manusia. Daripada jumlah tersebut 61 points terdapat di anggota-anggota wuduk termasuk telinga, dan baki 5 points lagi itu di antara buku lali hingga ke lutut .
Dengan ini apabila kita mengambil wuduk, seboleh-bolehnya kita mengosok perlahan-lahan segala anggota wuduk, mudah-mudahan kita mendapat rangsangan kesegaran sistem saraf sepertimana banyak di amalkan dalam ilmu sains refleksologi. 

Gently massage our face with circular motions. Then massage the tendons on the back of our hand by pushing upwards in the direction of the wrist. Each finger is given a gentle squeeze and rotated at the joints to loosen the stiffness in the tendons. 


Gently pull on the fingers to release any tension building up in them and make them more dexterous. Do not scrub because over-washing can cause skin to become irritated. We need to hydrate our skin with water. Hydrated skin is healthy skin. Water helps to detoxify our skin, ridding us of elements that make us ill. Regular ablution (wuduk) will prevent our skin from absorbing environmental pollutants.
But please remember our piped water at home contains chorine. Chlorine is a very toxic gas, and if too much of it can possibly irritate our respiratory system and can have an adverse effect on human health and corrosion of the teeth. But in our country it is still bearable and not yet that life-threatening. All these could happen because our skin can absorb contaminants from water. 

Another point is that water itself removes moisture from our skin. There is a layer of oil present on all our bodies, but once immersed in water for considerable period, the oil disappears. This allows for the dryness to set in. However, the time taken for the ablution process does not take long. 
Kita boleh memberi lebih pressure dengan menekan lokasi-lokasi di mana kita menghadapi masaalah kesihatan. Seperti contoh jika kerap mengalami pening-pening (dizziness) kita boleh tumpukan gosokkan wuduk di atas bibir, atau kalau stress maka gosok di kedua-dua hujung dan bawah bibir.
